Leather is timeless — strong, beautiful, and versatile. But like all natural materials, it needs care. Here’s how you can make your leather products last for decades.
1. Keep It Clean
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dust and dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals — they can damage the surface.
2. Moisturize Regularly
Leather dries over time. Apply a natural leather conditioner every 1–2 months to keep it supple and prevent cracks.
3. Avoid Heat & Sunlight
Never expose leather to direct sunlight or heat. It can fade colour and weaken the texture.
4. Store Smartly
Always store your leather goods in a cool, dry place — ideally in a cotton or fabric bag (never plastic).
5. Handle with Care
Don’t overstuff wallets or bend belts unnecessarily. Leather holds its shape when treated gently.
At Costum Cuir, we use European full-grain leather that only gets better with age. With the right care, your product will look even more beautiful in the years to come.
